Ronald A. Draper is a message-driven, mixed-medium artist, born and raised in Harlem, New York. The 2016 NAACP Award-winning artist serves as the Director of Contemporary Arts and Culture at Harlem Hospital Center and he is the Head of the Arts Department for the Eagle Academy for Young Men at Ocean Hill.

Draper's content is as varied as the materials he uses. His art ranges from helping you to see something in a new perspective, to creating a sense of nostalgia, and somehow everything in between that relates to wanting you to become your greatest-self. Draper works with wood, glass, fabric, and a host of other things that you don’t think of when you think of a “visual artist”. This eclectic assortment of materials helps to create artwork that is pleasing to both your sense of sight, as well as your sense of self.

Draper owns and operates #TheDraperSpace gallery in the Bronx, where he displays his art collections to be seen by the public and facilitates a multitude of themed art workshops for adults and children. Ronald Draper has produced scores of custom art pieces, with no two pieces being the alike. His willingness to create one of a kind work, and approach to the custom art process make the Draper Art experience like no other.

The Dinner Table: Deuce// Table For Two

  • Union Docs

The Dinner Table Doc is all about promoting healthy images of women of color. On Saturday December 17th they will be screening and debuting their  brand new web series, "Deuce" Table For Two.

Deuce// Table For Two, brings together women that vary in career, age, background and personal interest to celebrate the multidimensional layers of identity among black women.

In true Dinner Table spirit, Deuce aims to create a safe space for women of color to share their truth and celebrate the accomplishments of the woman seated across the table. However, this series aims to focus on women excelling in careers in which you don't normally see women of color excel in via entertainment media (like politics, STEM, etc.)

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with director, Asha Boston.
